From previous post, I told ya that I was reading 'Paper Towns' by John Green. I just finished reading it and I thought of writing a brief post. (well this is the first time ever doing this, don't expect me anything)
Firstly, before I read this book, I actually had watched the film so I could imagine how things going while reading the novel. But..... I must tell you, my geography sucks. I couldn't get where are the towns and I didn't have strength to you know google-ing. So, I just umm okay nevermind. This is barely from my reading and watching.
The reason why I decided to read the books after had watched the film is because I could barely understand the story. I mean I watched without subtitles so it was really a hard time for me (I'm not a native speaker) to understand. I watched the movie December, last year. I kinda like the book more than the novel honestly even though it was a bless for having Cara Delevingne as Margo Roth Spielgeman. Ah, while I was reading I realized there was a scene where they went to the SeaWorld but I'm not sure if it was in the film or it was not. Maybe I skipped the scene or umm I can't really tell.
Margo always loved mysteries. And in everything that came afterward, I could never stop thinking that maybe she loved mysteries so much that she became one
It was the starting point where everything about Margo became another mystery.
"And now life has become your future. Every moment of your life is lived for the future --you go to high school so that you can go to college so you can get a good job so you can get a nice house so you can afford to send your kids to college so they can get a good job so they can get a nice house so they can afford yo send their kids to college." - Margo
"That's always seemed ridiculous to me, that people would want to be around someone because they're pretty. It's like picking your breakfast cereals based on color instead of the taste." -Margo
"From distance, I mean. You can't see the wear on things, you know? You can't see the rust or the weeds or the paint cracking. You see the place as someone once imagined it." -Margo
Some quotes that I really like, I feel attached to some of them. Overall, I really enjoyed reading this novel and also the film. I had read and watched John Green's bestselling novel "The Fault in Our Stars' before so he really are one of my favourite writer. " The town was paper, but the memories were not "
